How To Cook Frozen Ground Beef in the Instant Pot

Did you forget to thaw your ground beef? Not to worry! Here’s how you can use your Instant Pot to cook your frozen ground beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lb frozen ground beef

Instructions

  1. Place the trivet inside of your Instant Pot.
  2. Add a cup of water to the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  3. Place frozen block of ground beef on top of the trivet and close the Instant Pot lid, setting it to sealing.
  4. Press manual and set to high pressure for 25 minutes.
  5. When done, quick release.
  6. Using an instant read meat thermometer and make sure the meat is at 160F/71C
  7. If not fully cooked, remove trivet and pour out the liquid in Instant Pot and set to sauté and quickly sauté the ground beef until fully cooked.
