How to Cook Frozen Peas

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter divided, unsalted
  • 1 shallot minced
  • 1 pound green peas frozen
  • kosher salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste, ground
  • Parmesan Cheese grated, for garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a medium skillet, melt about half of the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the shallot and cook until softened, then add the remaining butter.
  3. Add the frozen peas to the skillet. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peas are heated through.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If using, sprinkle on Parmesan when serving.
