Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks 1-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • steak seasoning to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 sprig fresh Rosemary chopped
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Remove the steaks from the fridge 30 minutes ahead of time.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  3. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  4. Rub the steaks with olive oil and generously season with steak seasoning. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side and transfer to the preheated oven.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the steaks reach the desired doneness. The best way to determine if the steak is done is to use an instant-read meat thermometer. Remove the steaks from the skillet, loosely tent with foil and let them rest for at least 5 minutes.
  6. Top the steaks with butter.
  7. Garnish with rosemary, thyme and serve.
