- 1 cabbage
Instructions
- First, rinse and clean cabbage. Then remove any dark or damaged leaves from the head of cabbage.
- Second, prepare your cutting area by putting cabbage stem down on the cutting board.
- Then, with a chef's knife cut cabbage lengthwise down through the core and then cut each half in half again.
- Since we are shredding the cabbage you will need to remove the core. With the chef's knife, slice at an angle where stems meet the leaves slice off the root. Do this on each quarter of the cabbage.
- With each flat side halves down on the cutting board, begin cutting sides into thin slices.
