How To Make A Fruit Tray

This fruit tray recipe guides you through creating an attractive assortment of fresh berries, citrus, grapes, watermelon, banana, and peaches arranged on a platter. Ingredients

  • pint raspberry
  • pint strawberry
  • pint blackberries
  • 2 orange sliced
  • green grapes bunch of
  • watermelon sliced, half
  • 2 banana
  • 2 peaches sliced

Instructions

  1. Prep the fruit by washing and cutting into appropriate sizes.
  2. Make your dipping sauce. I have a couple recommendations below.
  3. Get your platter and bowls out. Place your bowls on the tray.
  4. Add your dip to the bowls.
  5. Arrange your larger fruit on the platter.
  6. Add and arrange your smaller fruits to the tray.
  7. Fill in the holes by working in layers as you may need to rearrange some fruit on the tray.
  8. Add the smallest fruit and your garnish of seeds, nuts or other small pieces to complete your display.

Notes

  • Cut fruit into sizes appropriate for the ages of your guests to ease eating.
  • Choose a serving tray with a lip to contain fruit juices and prevent leakage.
  • Use seasonal fruits for the best flavor and freshness.
  • Cut fruit into varied shapes to create visual interest on the tray.
  • Use a fruit-only cutting board to avoid flavor mixing from other foods.
  • If fruit and dips will be out over 2 hours, chill the tray and bowls beforehand to maintain freshness.
