Ingredients
- 1 cup almonds
- 3 ½ cups filtered water
Instructions
- Wash and rinse almonds with tap water then place them in a big cup or bowl. Add the filtered water and soak them for 6-8 hours.
- Transfer into a blender or just use stab mixer and blend on highest speed for a minute or so.
- Place a cheese cloth (or something similar) on top of a bowl or cup and slowly pour the liquid into the cloth to filter the pulp. Gather and close the cloth around the collected pulp and squeeze to get the remaining liquids.
- Transfer almond milk to a glass to enjoy or in a bottle with a cap if to be refrigerated. Can be stored 3-5 days in the fridge.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- I usually add some drops of vanilla extract, but if you are raw food purist, then a vanilla bean can also be used and added after the pulp is removed.
- I also add honey to sweeten it a bit.
