How to Make Homemade Almond Paste!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups blanched almonds (the skinless ones)
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp almond extract

Instructions

  1. Put the almonds in a food processor and process until finely ground.
  2. Add the sugar, egg white, salt, and extract and process until smooth and the dough starts to come together in a lump.
  3. Turn out to a surface and form into a smooth log. Wrap tightly in plastic.
  4. Refrigerate for up to one month. Freeze for longer storage.
  5. This recipe makes 1 1/2 cups of almond paste.
