Ingredients

  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 lemon , cut into quarters
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 pounds large or jumbo shrimp
  • Homemade Cocktail Sauce

Instructions

  1. Bring the water and lemon to a rolling boil in a large pot or Dutch oven.
  2. Add the salt, boil for 1 more minute, allowing it to dissolve.
  3. Add the shrimp and remove from the heat.
  4. Stir the shrimp until they turn pink and curl.
  5. Drain well and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to eat. Serve with Classic Cocktail Sauce.
