Notes

  •
  • PRO TIP:  Apply butter and salt right away for the best melting.  You’ll know the corn is cooked through when it is steaming hot and impossible to handle with your bare hands.  Use Tongs to remove from the microwave.

  • You can use this recipe for as many corn on the cobs as you like, but wrap them individually and cook for 2 minutes per each ear. It’s best not to try to cook more than 4 at one time.
  • Remember that all microwave ovens are rated differently and while mine may have the corn raging hot in 2 minutes yours may only be a little warm. Start with 2 minutes and then increase by 30 second intervals until the corn on the cob is steaming hot.
  • If you are cooking more corn on the cob, increase the time accordingly. For directions on how to cook in wax paper, plastic wrap, in the shuck or in the husk or in a bowl of water, see the post.
