How To Roast Garlic

Roasted garlic is the ultimate flavor enhancer and it's really easy to make at home!

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic bulb heads
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • kosher salt

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Peel off some of the excess papery outer layer from the garlic, leaving some of it intact to hold the garlic cloves together.
  3. Carefully slice off the top ½-inch of the heads of garlic, exposing the individual cloves.
  4. Place each head of garlic on a piece of aluminum foil, cut side up. Drizzle each with a teaspoon of olive oil and sprinkle a pinch of salt on top.
  5. Wrap the garlic with the foil and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for about 45-50 minutes until the garlic is softened.
  7. Let it cool, then squeeze the garlic into a bowl. Wasn't that easy?
