Ingredients
- 1 pomegranate
- 1 bowl of water
Instructions
Cut:
- Slice off the top and bottom sides of the fruit. Cut vertical lines on the surface of the skin along the ridges, don't cut deep into the fruit, just on the skin.
Cup of Yum
Crack open:
- Add water to a medium bowl and submerge the fruit in it, crack the fruit open gently. Crack each piece along the vertical cuts on the skin you induced earlier.
Separate:
- Release the arils from the membrane by rolling with your fingers until each one is detached. The water will make the arils, while the membranes float, helping separate the two.
- Transfer the arils to another bowl and eat or add to salads.
