Ingredients

Marinade
  • 400 gms chicken tenders cut in 3 pieces, 0.9 lbs
  • ½ Coriander leaves roughly chopped, bunch
  • ½ mint roughly chopped, bunch
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp black cumin
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 green chilli you can use more if you like your food more spicy
  • ¼ tsp red chili powder you can use more if you like your food more spicy
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp mace
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup onion I bought mine at my local Indian store, fried
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 peppercorn
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 235 gms yogurt 1 cup
  • salt to taste
Rice
  • 300 gms basmati rice 1 ½ cup
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Layers
  • ¾ cup onion fried
  • ½ Coriander leaves roughly chopped, bunch
  • ½ mint roughly chopped, bunch
  • 1 pinch saffron dissolved in 2 tbsp warm water
