Instant Pot Applesauce Recipe

Whip up a batch of this Instant Pot Applesauce in about 30 minutes. Serve it with roast chicken or on top of ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 5 large Gala apples
  • 5 Golden Delicious apples
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples. Thinly slice and cut each slice in quarters.
  2. Place the apples into a large bowl.
  3. Add the maple syrup and cinnamon to the apples. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour the water into the bottom of the Instant Pot. Add the apples.
  5. Put the lid on the Instant Pot, close the steam vent and to HIGH pressure using the manual setting. Decrease the time to 5 minutes.
  6. Let the steam release naturally for 5 minutes, then carefully use the quick release valve to release the steam.
  7. Break up any apple chunks with a wooden spoon. Serve or store in the refrigerator.
