Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, 1 1/4 cups of water, the butter, and salt to the Instant Pot.
  3. Secure the lid on the Instant Pot, set the valve to 'Sealing,' select the 'Manual' or 'Pressure Cook' setting, and set the time for 4 minutes at high pressure.
  4. After cooking, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
  5. Carefully release any remaining pressure. Open the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve.
