Ingredients

  • ½ cup onions diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon mustard dried
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard prepared
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 6 chicken tenders frozen or fresh, see note for cooking times

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in the instant pot. Stir well until combined.
  2. Add chicken tenders and nestle in the sauce.
  3. Cook on manual high pressure for 7 minutes. Let natural release for 4 minutes. Manually release the rest of the pressure.
  4. Remove chicken from the sauce. Blend the sauce, if desired.
  5. Shred the chicken and return to the sauce.

Notes

  • If you are using thawed out chicken tenders, you can reduce the cook time to 5 minutes and NPR to 4 minutes.
