Instant Pot Black Beans {gluten-free, vegan}
These Instant Pot Black Beans are packed full of nutritious protein, and easy to pull together in the Instant Pot. Plus, they're 100% vegan and gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 pound black beans dry
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp salt sea salt
- ½ tsp Jamaican jerk BBQ seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cilantro leaves dried
- ½ tsp white pepper
OPTIONAL- FOR SERVING
- ½ cup scallions sliced
- ½ cup cheddar cheese dairy-free
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients listed above in the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
- Close the lid on the Instant Pot, and turn the valve to sealing position.
- Set the Instant Pot to cook on high for 35 minutes. When the cooking time has finished, allow for a manual release for 25 minutes.
- OPTIONAL: Serve topped with sliced scallions and dairy-free cheddar cheese.
