Instant Pot Broccoli Recipe
This instant pot broccoli recipe will help you cook the broccoli in the quickest way without losing its goodness and flavor. A clever way to get your dish done without having to use your stove or pans.
Ingredients
- 5-6 ounces broccoli aka broccolini, baby broccoli, tenderstem broccoli
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped or minced
- ½ onion sliced, small
- 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
- ½ teaspoon dried chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon sesame seeds optional
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Prepare and cut the baby broccoli into 2-inch lengths.
- Get your instant pot ready, you want to use the main bowl. Then turn the instant pot on and press the saute button. Set the timer to 10 minutes.
- Put the cooking oil into the instant pot and stir-fry the sliced onion until softened.
- Add the minced garlic to the onion and the dried chili flakes. Keep stirring as you continue cooking on saute function.
- Once the onion and garlic turn yellow brow, stir in the broccoli and soy sauce. Give it a stir until all broccoli is covered with the sauce and herbs.
- Then add ¼ cup water and stir again.
- Use an ordinary lid of a pan that can sit on top of the instant pot, and put that lid on as the gadget cooks your broccoli for about 2-3 minutes if you like your broccoli to be slightly crunchy. Or, you can cook for about 5-7 minutes if you prefer your broccoli to be soft.
- Take the broccoli out of your instant pot and sprinkle the sesame seeds over.
Notes
- You can always use ordinary broccoli and just cut the florets into 2-inch length and ½-inch thickness.
