Instant Pot Hard-Boiled Eggs

  • 6-12 large eggs

  1. Pour 1 cup of water into a 6-quart Instant Pot. Place the metal trivet inside the pot.
  2. Carefully arrange the eggs on the trivet. Seal the Instant Pot lid and set the manual high-pressure cooking time for 5 minutes for medium-cooked yolks or 7 minutes for fully set yolks.
  3. Once the cooking cycle is complete, perform a quick pressure release according to the Instant Pot's instructions. Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of iced water for 1 minute to halt the cooking process.
  4. Drain the eggs and peel them. The shells should come off easily after the ice bath.
