Instant Pot Jasmine Rice
This easy Instant Pot Jasmine Rice recipe is ready in just a few minutes and is perfect for Asian inspired recipes or any recipe with rice!
Ingredients
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 2 cups water see notes
- 2 teaspoons olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Add the rice to a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cool running water until the water runs clear.
- Add the rinsed rice to the Instant Pot along with the water, oil or butter, and salt.
- Cover with the lid, set the vent to sealing, and pressure cook on high for 3 minutes. Let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes and then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
Notes
- This recipe is easy to scale up or down depending on how much rice you need. You’ll want equal parts rice and liquid.
- This recipe will make about 4 cups of rice. We use only do around 1/2 cup servings on rice, but if you like bigger servings plan accordingly.
- For a basic jasmine rice, we use water as the liquid. For something more flavorful, we’ll use chicken or veggie broth for the liquid.
