Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup room temperature unsalted butter
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread 1 cup all-purpose flour out on a large baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes until the flour reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also add the flour to a large heat-safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes.
- Run the flour through a sifter to break up any clumps made from heat-treating it.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the ½ cup room temperature unsalted butter, ½ cup light brown sugar, and 2 tbsp granulated sugar. Whisk together until creamy.
- Add in the ¼ tsp salt and ½ tsp vanilla extract to the butter mixture and whisk together. Add the flour to the dough mixture and combine.
- Add the 1-2 tablespoons milk in 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring until the desired consistency is reached. The dough should be soft.
- Stir in the ½ cup mini chocolate chips and serve.

Notes
- Storage: store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Once chilled, the dough will need to be softened slightly to eat. Heat in microwave for 15-30 seconds, just enough to soften.
- Baking: This cookie dough is not able to be baked.
