Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed ice divided
  • 3 oz tequila
  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 2 oz triple sec or orange liquor
  • 1 lime juiced
  • ¼ cup citrus grapefruit or orange
  • ½-1 cup club soda grapefruit flavored
Garnish
  • salt or sugar for rim
  • orange or lime wheels
  • fresh mint

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Slice an orange or lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass. Pour salt or sugar on a small plate, then dip the glass to rim it.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup of crushed ice. Pour tequila, aperol, triple sec, and the juice of 1 lime into the shaker. Give it a good shake.
  3. Divide the remaining ice between each glass. Pour in margarita over crushed ice.
  4. Top each glass with club soda. Garnish with fresh mint, citrus wedges, or edible flowers. Option to add the juice of a orange wedge to the top of each glass for immediate citrus flavor!
  5. Serve immediately! You might just leave all the ingredients out because you will be making another:P. Please drink responsibly.

Notes

  • Don't shake your club soda in your cocktail shaker. It will explode everywhere! Just pour it in the glass at the end.
  • If you don't love tequila, you could substitute vodka, gin, or even rum in this recipe instead.
  • These drinks are stiff. Feel free to reduce the shot size to 1 oz/0.75oz of alcohol each instead of 1.5 oz/1 oz each.
