Ingredients
For the infused simple syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 orange juiced
- 2 lime zest removed and juiced
- ½-1 jalapeño sliced
For the slushies
- 1-1½ cups simple syrup infused
- ½ cup lime juice fresh
- ½-1 cup tequila
- ½ cup Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 4 cups ice cubes
Instructions
- To make the syrup, combine the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sugar has dissolved then remove from the heat and allow to cool then strain out the jalapeños.
- Combine the cooled syrup with tequila, lime juice, Cointreau and ice cubes and blend.
- Pour into glasses and serve.
