Kakigori (Japanese Shaved Ice)
Kakigori is a Japanese dessert of finely shaved ice topped with flavored syrups like matcha, strawberry, or mango, offering a refreshing treat. The ice is shaved to a fluffy, snow-like texture, then drizzled with sweet, homemade syrups made by simmering fruit or matcha powder with sugar and water. Condensed milk can be added for extra creaminess. This creates a cold, sweet dessert that highlights bright fruit flavors and smooth matcha.
