KFC Green Beans

You can make KFC green beans at home with this easy copycat recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 .5-ounce cans cut green beans drained
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Place the green beans in a pot and top with the rest of the ingredients. Add enough water to cover the green beans.
  2. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and serve.

Notes

  • You can use fresh green beans instead of canned if you wish. If you use fresh green beans, increase the cooking time until they are fork tender.
