Korean Beef Stuffed Peppers
Korean Beef Stuffed Peppers are an easy tasty Asian style dish with a tangy, saucy spicy ground beef mixture baked in bell pepper pockets.
Ingredients
- 3 bell pepper halved
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef , 85/15 fat content
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground
- 3 cloves garlic , minced
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sriracha
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
- 2 green onions , sliced thinly
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Add ground beef, salt, and pepper on medium-high heat and cook, breaking it apart, until well browned.
- Drain any excess grease.
- Add in the garlic, sesame oil, ketchup, hoisin, water, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sriracha.
- Stir well and bring to a simmer then turn off the heat.
- Add the peppers to a 9x13 baking dish.
- Scoop mixture into the halved green bell peppers.
- Pour beef broth on the sides of the bell peppers.
- Bake, covered, for 50 minutes.
- Garnish when serving with green onions and sesame seeds.
