Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onion for garnish
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 375 degrees.
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together 1 tablespoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
- Stir in 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup rice vinegar, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 6 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, and 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.
- Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce is thick.
- Spray a baking sheet or 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray. Lay 8 chicken drumsticks out on the pan and brush with the barbecue sauce.
- Bake in the 375 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
- Garnish with 2 tablespoons sliced green onion and 1 teaspoon sesame seeds.
