Ladolemono Greek Salad Dressing Recipe
Ladolemono is a classic Greek salad dressing combining fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper with extra virgin olive oil. The dressing has a bright, tangy flavor with herbal and garlicky notes, emulsified by vigorously whisking in the olive oil. It’s a versatile dressing commonly used on salads, grilled meats, and fish.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup lemon juice juice of 2 large lemons, fresh
- 1 to 2 teaspoons oregano dried
- 1 garlic minced, large clove
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¾ teaspoon black pepper
- ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Put the lemon juice, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl. Whisk to combine.
- While you are whisking vigorously, slowly drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil.
Notes
- Store the dressing in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, shaking before use due to natural separation.
- Use Ladolemono on salads as well as grilled meats and fish to add fresh, bright flavor.
- Adjust the amount of oregano and garlic to suit your taste preferences.
