Lamb, Feta and Mint burgers

Fancy a burger with a bit of a twist? Why not try these Lamb, Feta and Mint burgers. Quick and simple to make, but they taste AMAZING!

Ingredients

Lamb, Feta and Mint burgers
  • 750 g  lamb mince
  • 100 g feta cheese crumbled
  • 4 tablespoons mint chopped finely
  • 2  cloves  garlic  grated or crushed
  • 1  small onion  finely grated
  • 2  teaspoons  ground cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste
To Serve
  • tzatziki
  • burger buns
  • Rocket or other salad leaves

Instructions

  1. Place all the burger ingredients in a large bowl and mix together with your hands until thoroughly combined. Really give it a good squishing!
  2. Divide the mixture into 6 and roll each portion into a large ball then squash to make a burger patty.
  3. Press a small dent in the centre of each burger to help stop the burger from rising up too much in the middle.
  4. Preheat your grill (broiler) to medium high or prepare your BBQ.
  5. Cook the burgers for 5 minutes on each side or until done to your liking.
  6. Serve in burger buns on with a good dollop of tzatziki and a scattering of salad leaves on top. If you like, serve these burgers with homemade potato wedges, Greek salad and more tzatziki on the side.
