Espresso or strong coffee with a floral lavender syrup combined with milk creating a delicious lavender latte. Serve hot or over ice for a cold beverage.

																							Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
 - 1/2 cup Lavender syrup make in advance
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 12 ounce espresso or strong coffee
 
Instructions
- Hot Lavender Latte
 - Make Lavender Syrup in advance.
 - In a small saucepan over medium low heat, heat the milk and bring to a simmer whisking for about 3 minutes.
 - Stir in lavender syrup and vanilla extract.
 - Froth ingredients with a hand frother, whisk or electric frother
 - Divide the espresso or coffee between two mugs.
 - Top with lavender milk and garnish with lavender buds.
 - Iced Lavender Latte
 - After infusing the lavender syrup with the milk, cool.
 - Fill two tall glasses with ice.
 - Add the espresso or strong coffee between the glasses.
 - Top with lavender milk and garnish with lavender buds if desired.

																Notes
- For the best drink, make the simple syrup ahead so that the flavors have time to meld.
 - For a honey lavender syrup replace the granulated sugar with raw honey.
 - If you don't want pieces of lavender in your drink, be sure you strain the syrup before you add it to the milk.
 - Garnishing with lavender flowers makes such a pretty topping for this drink.
 - You can adjust the type of milk to your preference. Whole milk adds the richest and boldest flavor to a latte.
