Lemon and Basil Gin and Tonic

Gin and lemon is such a classic combination but the addition of herbaceous basil means this Gin and Tonic pops with a wonderfully different flavor. This lemon and basil G&T is refreshing and unusual take on your normal G&T

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 6 basil leaves
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup gin
  • 1 ½ cups tonic more or less to taste
  • Garnish: lemon twist and fresh basil leaves

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the lemon juice, basil leaves and ice in cocktail shaker (or jar with a lid). Shake well to bruise the basil.
  2. Add the gin and shake again.
  3. Strain the flavoured gin into two glasses. Add more ice and top with tonic.
  4. Garnish and serve immediately.
