Lettuce Wrap Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Teriyaki sauce we like to use Mr. Yoshidas original
  • ⅓ cup Sweet chili sauce we use Mae Ploy brand
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh ginger finely minced or grated
  • red pepper flakes to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Sriracha sauce or to taste-- depending on how spicy you like it
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Combine teriyaki sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  2. Heat the sauce in a small saucepan. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and divide into 3 small bowls.
  3. In one bowl, add about 1/4 teaspoon of Sriracha sauce (or more to taste) and mix well. In the other bowl, add 1-2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (or to taste), and mix until creamy and smooth.
  4. Serve over lettuce wraps.

  • Asian-style BBQ sauce – ½ cup hoisin sauce + low-sodium soy sauce or water added until desired consistency is reached
  • Spicy Oyster Sauce – Oyster sauce + Sriracha (to taste)
