Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (90% lean)
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs (I used panko breadcrumbs)
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup water (or milk)
  • salt to taste
Optional for Serving
  • meatloaf sauce

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9”x5” loaf pan with butter or line with parchment paper. Set it aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix well. It’s best to use your hands to mush and mix until they are well combined.
  3. Add the meat mixture to the loaf pan. Press the meat down and shape it into an even layer.
  4. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
  5. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. (It’s important to let it rest, otherwise, it may fall apart.)
  6. Brush with optional meatloaf sauce. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Don’t overmix, as it can result in a tough meatloaf.
  • I recommend lining your loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Press the meat mixture gently into the loaf pan so that it can hold its shape better.
