Loaded Tater Tot Skewers

Crispy little tater tots are topped with gooey cheese and bacon and served on skewers to make for easy eating. Air fryer recipe

Ingredients

  • 36 tater tots frozen
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3 lices Bacon crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer at 400 F for 3 minutes.
  2. Put the tater tots in the basket of the air fryer. Don't overfill the basket. The tater tots should cover the bottom with a few on top, but don't fill the basket to the top.
  3. Air fry the tater tots for 15 minutes, shaking the basket once or twice during cooking to ensure even cooking.
  4. Let the tater tots cool for 5 minutes so you don't burn your fingers.
  5. Thread the tater tots onto skewers or bamboo picks, putting 5 or 6 on each. Put the skewers in the air fryer basket.
  6. Sprinkle the cheese and bacon over the tater tots.
  7. Put the basket back in the air fryer and cook at 400 F for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve sprinkled with green onions or chives. Drizzle with ranch dressing if desired.

Notes

  • If using the oven cook the tater tots as directed on the package, usually 25-30 minutes at 400 F. Then cook the loaded skewers for 8-10 minutes at 400 F.
