Low Carb Barbecue Sauce
Thick and delicious low carb bbq sauce for marinading, basting and dipping all your favorite grilled foods. This simple recipe is easy to adjust to your preference. Like a smoky flavor? Add liquid smoke. Prefer a spicy bbq sauce? Extra cayenne pepper will heat up the sauce.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup onion finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 3 garlic cloves chopped
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 3 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 26 ounce strained tomatoes
- 8 ounce tomato paste
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pan heat avocado oil over medium heat. Add onion and saute until soft and translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in dry mustard, chili powder and paprika and cook for approximately one minute.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool and transfer to glass containers. Store in the refrigerator.
