Malt Egg Easter Cookies
Easter cookies with malted eggs inside are so yummy! These are the perfect Easter treat to make and take to family gatherings.
Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter softened, unsalted
- 3/4 C sugar
- 3/4 C brown sugar packed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 egg room temp, large
- 1 C chocolate chips
- 1/2 C malted egg candies crushed
- malted egg candies extra for garnish
Instructions
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Line cookie sheets with parchment paper..
- In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. With your electric mixer beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.
- Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Slowly add in the flour mixture beating as it is being added.. Stir in morsels and crushed malted candies.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepped baking sheets.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. (or until golden brown.)
- Add whole malted egg candies to the top of the warm cookies.
- Push the candies slightly into the cookie.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes.
- Transfer cookie to a wire rack to cool completely.
