Mango Shaved Ice (Mango Bingsu)

Mango Shaved Ice, or Mango Bingsu, is a simple dessert featuring finely shaved ice topped with fresh diced mango. Sweetened condensed milk adds creamy sweetness, and optional vanilla ice cream provides richness for a refreshing treat with contrasting cold and fruit flavors.

Ingredients

  • ½ C water frozen solid into a puck (or mold, to suit your ice shaving machine)
  • 1 Mango diced, fresh
For serving:
  • sweetened condensed milk to your taste
  • vanilla ice cream optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Remove the ice puck from the freezer and insert into your ice shaver.
  2. Shave the ice according to the manufacturer's directions into a serving bowl.
  3. Top with diced fresh mango and drizzle with sweetened condensed milk to your taste.
  4. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
