Mango Smoothie Recipe with Green Tea

This delicious and refreshing smoothie combines mangoes and green tea to give you a nice boost of energy in the morning! It makes a great breakfast or mid-afternoon snack when you need a little pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes or 2 cups frozen mango
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 green tea bags
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • honey optional

Instructions

  1. Add the tea bags to the hot water, then place in the freezer to cool while you are preparing the rest of the smoothie.
  2. Peel the mangoes, remove the pit, and place the flesh in the blender. Add the ice, one half of a frozen banana, and 1 tablespoon of honey if you like.
  3. Then remove the tea from the freezer and discard the tea bags. Pour the tea in the blender, cover, and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can prep the tea ahead and use frozen mango chunks to speed up your morning smoothie making!
