- 1 oz. vermouth
- 2 oz. rye whiskey
- A few drops of Angostura bitters
- Lots of ice cubes
- 1 maraschino cherry

Instructions
- To start, cool the glass by filling it with ice cubes. The cocktail should be as cold as possible.
- Pour the vermouth directly into the shaker.
- Add the rye whisky.
- Then add the Angostura bitters.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes and mix with a spoon for 15 seconds.
- Throw the ice cubes out of the serving cup, making sure that there is no water left in the bottom.
- Place the strainer on the shaker, then pour the content into the glass (discard the ice cubes).
- Add a maraschino cherry.
