Ingredients
- 1-2 pounds uncooked pork breakfast sausages
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- pinch cinnamon, nutmeg optional
Instructions
- Place the pork sausages in the bottom of a baking pan or dish that thye just fit into. Too large of a baking dish and the sauce won't cover the sausages well.
- Mix together the sauce ingredients, heating in the microwave to melt the butter and combine the brown sugar in properly.
- Pour the sauce over the sausages in the pan.
- Cook - uncovered - in the oven for 35-40 minutes, turning one or two times throughout the cooking process to ensure the sausages are well coated.
- Remove from the oven and let sit for a few minutes. Serve hot and with the sauce if desired.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- Nutitional information calculates the entire sauce and sausages, which you don't actually eat all of so the values are much higher than they should be
- You can make as many sausages as the sauce will cover
