Maple Pecan Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 8 sweet potatoes Evenly sliced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg Optional
  • 1/2 tsp all spice Optional
  • 1/2 Cup pecans Chopped

Instructions

  1. Place a large pan on the stove over medium heat. Melt butter in the pan. 
  2. Once the butter is melted, place the sweet potatoes in the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side. 
  3. Add pure maple syrup, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice and pecans to the pan. Cover and cook for 20-30 minutes until fully cooked and the sauce has thickened. 
  4. Serve warm.
