Ingredients

  • 1 Naan or pita flatbread
  • 3 TBSP pizza sauce or thick spaghetti sauce
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • ½ cup cherry tomato halved
  • ⅛ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • ⅛ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1-2 tsp balsamic glaze sweet
  • basil fresh, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven (or toaster oven!) to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spread flatbread with sauce and top with freshly grated mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. 
  3. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning on top and bake for 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly!
  4. Top with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and a sprinkling of fresh basil. Yum!

Notes

  • Balsamic glaze enhances the pizza with a sweet tang; store-bought versions are convenient, or make your own by simmering balsamic vinegar and brown sugar until reduced by half.
  • Use fresh basil leaves as a final topping for herbal freshness.
