Matcha Hazelnut Spread

This Matcha Hazelnut Spread blends melted white chocolate with matcha green tea powder and smooth hazelnut butter, finished with a pinch of sea salt. The result is a creamy, sweet spread with subtle earthy bitterness from the matcha, balanced by the nutty richness of hazelnut and sweet white chocolate. Ingredients

  • 50 g white chocolate
  • 6 g matcha green tea powder
  • pinch salt sea salt
  • 50 g hazelnut butter

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a heat-proof bowl, add in the white chocolate and matcha.
  2. Place the bowl over a double-boiler and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally with a spatula until the chocolate is melted.
  3. Next, add in hazelnut butter in small increments, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Add in sea salt and stir until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Turn off the heat and and transfer the mixture to a clean, sterile jar or container.

Notes

  • This recipe yields approximately half a cup of matcha hazelnut spread.
