Matcha Hazelnut Spread
This Matcha Hazelnut Spread blends melted white chocolate with matcha green tea powder and smooth hazelnut butter, finished with a pinch of sea salt. The result is a creamy, sweet spread with subtle earthy bitterness from the matcha, balanced by the nutty richness of hazelnut and sweet white chocolate. It's ideal as a spread for bread, a dip, or a flavor addition to desserts.
Ingredients
- 50 g white chocolate
- 6 g matcha green tea powder
- pinch salt sea salt
- 50 g hazelnut butter
Instructions
- In a heat-proof bowl, add in the white chocolate and matcha.
- Place the bowl over a double-boiler and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally with a spatula until the chocolate is melted.
- Next, add in hazelnut butter in small increments, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Add in sea salt and stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Turn off the heat and and transfer the mixture to a clean, sterile jar or container.
Notes
- This recipe yields approximately half a cup of matcha hazelnut spread.
