Mexican Mule
This Mexican Mule is a Mexican spin on a classic Moscow mule using tequila with a combination of lime, mint, and ginger beer. This refreshing cocktail is cold, crisp, and elegant when served in copper mugs and garnished with fresh mint and lime wedges.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces tequila silver or blanco
- 4 ounces ginger beer
- 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed (approx 1/2 a lime)
Garnish
- lime wedges
- mint leaves
Instructions
- Fill a copper mug with ice.
- Pour in the tequila, lime juice and top off with ginger beer.
- Stir to combine.
- Garnish with lime wedges or slices and fresh mint leaves.
Notes
- Tequila: Use a silver or blanco tequila. You can substitute with reposado, this will give a more complex flavoring.
- Ginger Beer: There is no actual alcohol in ginger beer, but it adds the flavor. If you substitute with ginger ale you will be missing the strong ginger flavoring.
- Lime Juice: Use freshly squeezed lime juice to avoid any additives or other flavorings.
