Microwave Mug Brownie
This Microwave Mug Brownie offers a single-serving chocolate dessert prepared quickly by mixing dry ingredients and wet ingredients directly in a mug and microwaving until cooked. The inclusion of chocolate chips folded in adds spots of melted chocolate, creating a warm, rich, and fudgy texture. It is ideal for a fast, personal chocolate fix.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder unsweetened
- salt pinch
- 2 tablespoons butter melted (or coconut oil, unsalted
- 3 tablespoons water (or milk)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
- 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
- vanilla ice cream optional, for garnish
- chocolate syrup optional, for garnish
Instructions
- In a microwave safe mug, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder and salt.
- Add melted butter, water and vanilla extract. Stir until mixture is smooth, about 10 seconds (avoid over mixing). Fold in chocolate chips.
- Microwave mug on full power for 60 to 90 seconds. Brownie is done when the top is completely cooked. Allow to cool 5 minutes then serve with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup if desired.

- Serving is large; consider dividing into two smaller portions if preferred.
