Mini Orange Monkey Rolls
I love orange rolls. I think I almost prefer orange rolls over cinnamon rolls. There is just something about the sweet glaze with a hint of orange in it that I love.

Ingredients
- 12 frozen dinner rolls
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- zest of one orange, about 1 tablespoon
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon Karo syrup
Sweet orange Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- zest of one orange, about 1 tablespoon
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a muffin pan with cooking spray, set aside.
- Set the frozen rolls out at room temperature unthawed but still cold. Cut each roll with a pizza cutter into about 4-6 smaller pieces each.
- Mix the 1 cup of sugar and orange zest into a small bowl, rubbing the zest and sugar together with your fingers to release the oils into the sugar, and set aside.
- Melt the 1/2 cup butter and mix with the Karo syrup.
- Dip each piece of roll dough in the butter and roll it in the sugar mixture. Place the coated pieces into the muffin tins, filling each one about ½ way.
- Cover and let the rolls rise until they double in size, about 30-45 minutes. Bake the proofed rolls for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the baked rolls and let them cool completely.
- For the sweet orange glaze, mix the powdered sugar, orange zest, 1 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp orange juice, and 1 tsp vanilla together. Drizzle over each of the orange rolls.
