Italian Vinaigrette:
- ¼ cup canola oil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1½ tsp sugar more if desired
- ½ tsp oregano dried
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ¼ tsp dried mustard
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp paprika
- salt to taste, sea salt and freshly cracked
- black pepper to taste, sea salt and freshly cracked
Mixed Green Salad:
- 2 cups romaine lettuce chopped
- 2 cups mixed greens
- grape tomatoes handful
- 1 cucumber peeled, seeded, and diced
- ¼ cup croutons click the link up above for the recipe, herb
- Parmesan Cheese shaved
Instructions
- Make the vinaigrette by combining the canola oil, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, sugar, oregano, basil, dried mustard, onion powder, paprika, and sea salt & freshly cracked pepper, to taste, in a glass jar or small bowl. Whisk until well combined; set aside to allow the flavors to mingle–at least 30 minutes.
- Make the salad by placing a mixture of romaine and mixed greens in a large serving bowl and top with grape tomatoes, diced cucumbers, herb croutons, and shaved Parmesan cheese.
- Serve the salad by drizzling the well-whisked Italian vinaigrette then toss to coat evenly. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
