M&M Cookies

A simple and delicious M&M cookie recipe that will remind you of your childhood! Our easy to freeze, low maintenance cookies are soft and fluffy, a tiny bit chewy and packed with tons of m&ms. You won't be able to eat just one!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups plain M&Ms, divided

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a mixing bowl. Whisk together.
  2. In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment cream together butter and both sugars
  3. Scrape down sides of the bowl and add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Beat together until eggs and vanilla have mixed into the butter and sugar
  5. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and beat together just until an even dough forms.
  6. Mix 1 cup M&Ms into dough until evenly distributed.
  7. Using a 3 tablespoon scooper, scoop dough balls into a parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Top each dough ball with a few more M&Ms from remaining 3/4 cup.
  9. Refrigerate dough balls for at least 1 hour, and up to 24 hours
  10. Preheat oven to 350˚F.
  11. Transfer some dough balls onto a parchment lined baking sheet, 2 inches apart (this will need to be done in batches on multiple baking sheets).
  12. Bake cookies for 13 to 15 minutes or until just browned around the edges.
  13. Remove cookies from oven and cool for a few minutes before transferring onto a cooling rack to continue cooling.
