Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup M&M's
Instructions
- Prepare all the ingredients. The butter should be at room temperature. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
- Beat the butter with both sugars. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour with baking powder and baking soda. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on a low speed.
- Add half of the M&M's to the dough. Scoop the cookie dough and place on a lined baking sheet. Add the remaining M&M's to the tops of the cookies.
- Bake the cookies for 7-11 minutes, depending on the size of the cookie. Remove cookies from the oven while they still appear a little soft, they will harden as they cool. Enjoy!
