Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup quick oats
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk if needed
  • ½ cup Mini M&Ms
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread out the flour and oats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the flour is lightly browned around the edges. (you should check the temperature with an instant read thermometer to make sure it reaches 165° F)
  3. Allow the flour and oats to cool completely.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add the brown sugar, peanut butter, and butter and mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for at least 2 minutes, until fluffy. (you can also use the bowl of a stand mixer)
  5. Then add the vanilla extract and blend in.
  6. Add in the oats and flour mixture in small batches mixing it in on low speed. Continue mixing just until there are no large clumps of flour remaining.
  7. Add 1-2 tablespoons of milk of choice if the dough is too dry.
  8. Gently stir in the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
  9. Enjoy as a dip or by the spoonful.

Notes

  • Store any leftover cookie dough in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Bring to room temperature before enjoying.
  • Do NOT skip the heating of the flour for safety reasons.
  • Use old fashioned oats if you’d like instead of quick oats.
  • If you use all-natural peanut butter, you may need a little additional flour. Add it a tablespoon at a time
  • Use white sugar instead of brown sugar if you prefer.
  • Swap out the add-ins if you’d like. Substitute or add Reese’s Pieces, peanut butter chips, or butterscotch chips if you’d like.
