Mouthwatering Glazed Carrots are tender carrot sticks cooked first in water to soften, then coated in a butter, brown sugar, and honey glaze that caramelizes to a sweet, shiny finish. Ingredients
- 2 pounds carrot peeled and cut into 1/2 x 3 inch sticks
- 1/2 cup water
- 5 tablespoons butter salted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/4 cup honey
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add carrots and water to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, then cover and cook for 3 minutes.
- Remove lid and cook uncovered until nearly all water is evaporated out, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add in butter, brown sugar, and honey. Stir to coat carrots and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes while continuously stirring carrots.
- Once carrots are fork tender and the sauce has caramelized, remove from heat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Let cool and enjoy!
